Daylight Savings.....

Do our TP's need the DST patch? I was noticing that some appointmets for next week (activesync with Exchange server) are off by an hour.

My VZW TP w/custom ROM did not update for DST this morning until after applied this MS patch:

found this on the following MS page: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958729

Re: Daylight Savings.....

This is not limited to only Verizon TP's. My Sprint TP would not update until the patch was applied either. This is a MS issue. I included the fix cab here. Links are in the second post. Perhaps the OP could change the name of the thread to eliminate the specific carrier reference.

Re: Daylight Savings.....

I had applied a Microsoft DST patch, don’t remember if it was the one mentioned above, and the appointment times were still off at that time. When I checked the phone this morning I had a message that the time had updated. I looked at the calendar and it looks OK now. However, after posting my original message I had screwed around with various appointments so I’ll have to wait until I get to work tomorrow to see if all is, in fact, well.

Thanks for the replies.

I also found this thread while researching this:

Re: Daylight Savings.....

Same here with my Vogue. I had a reminder message saying that the clock had been updated to DST.

Re: Daylight Savings.....

i have a verizon touch pro with SSK's custom rom. i got a message this morning saying the time has changed, except it was not. i then tried to change to a time zone that doesn't do daylight saving, e.g. china. the time difference (12 hrs now, 13 hrs before the daylight time change) is correct except the actual u.s. time is now still off by 1 hr. let me try that cab... i thought msft should have automatically taken care of that..

Re: Daylight Savings.....

mine didn't change either... i'm wondering if it's because of ageye's g-alarm? i'm sure a lot of us use that and i'm wondering if that's the culprit since it has some weird "fix windows alarm bug" thing when first installing... i will try the fix posted above, thanks.

dtndvm, any links to where you got it from???

edit: a search for what dtndvm posted led me to this microsoft page: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958729

My diamond didn't change and I have g-alarm. I woke up and my time had changed to Eastern Time, and g-alarm didn't sound. The wake up time was pas_sed in both time zones. I changed the time zone back to central and the time was correct. Weird...
