Airplane mode automatically turns on
 

My phone turns airplane mode on whenever my battery dies and I switch to my spare. Why does it do this? Any setting to prevent this? Thanks!

I believe (judging from my TP) that when it doesn't have enough battery to keep the radio on it goes into airplane mode. At least mine does that and a few seconds later it turns off. Also if I try turning the radio back on it will turn off. I'm sure if you switch batteries before letting the other one reach that point you'll stop having to switch modes.

EDIT: Actually I'm not sure, since I've never tried that. But please try and let me know if that helped you. I don't know of any setting to prevent this; sorry.

gxip, you hit it right on. if you let the phone drain then airplane mode will come on. switch your batteries before the phone completely dies.

I've had my phone go into flight mode and completely die, but when I powered it back on with a charger, the radio was turned back on. I haven't swapped batteries to see if it stays in flight mode, but does your phone still stay in airplane mode when you plug it in after a restart?

Ya that's the problem. I swapped the battery out before it got too low and airplane mode didn't turn on. Thanks!
