vagII and touch pro?
is that possible? i found a site that has some software for vag's.
http://www.arlab.it/vc/screenshots.html does anyone know if something like this would work? or anything similar? i would rather find a way to use a cable to keep costs down, cause at the price they sell the bluetooth's for, its hardly worth the price. |

Re: vagII and touch pro?
From a software standpoint, this should be possible (and would be very sweet - I'd love to get my hands on this for my Jetta.) Looks like the software is written with WinMo 2003 in mind, but that shouldn't exclude it from running on 5/6. One of the CABs is compiled for ARM; the TPro's CPU is a member of said family.
From what I can see, the cable uses a simple RS-232 interface. While the TPro has no such host interface (at least, not accessible to you), you could use a Bluetooth-to-RS232 link, effectively building an exact replica of the "BlueVAG" hardware that they sell there. You'd just need to setup a COM port under your bluetooth settings and you're all set. I'd imagine you could probably build it relatively cheaply. If you decide to try it, let me know how it goes. Definitely seems to be extremely handy. |

With all that it would take to make this work, I think that just buying a VagCom would be an easier, albeit more expensive solution |

Yeah, but then you'd have the blue tubes to do your car hacking! All you'd really have to do is get the converter (shouldn't be more than about $20), and you're set to go.
