Touch Pro Messaging questions

Hi guys, new year so forgive me if this has been discussed. I've attempted to search for the answers to my questions and so far have found an answer to one of my questions, but figured I'd ask a bit more about it.

I've got a Touch Pro through Alltel.

1) Does the TP support "enhanced" messaging? My girlfriend tries to send me a text message from her LG Scoop; if the message exceeds the 160 character SMS limit, it will send to my phone the first 160 characters, and then send me a message saying that the message was formatted to fit my phone, and the media content had been removed. It will send her a message back saying my phone doesn't support enhanced messaging. It worked fine when I had a Hue. I can send 160+ character messages from the TP to her phone. All other types of messaging work OK so far, it's just that that is not functioning.

2) Fixed

3) Disabling the message sent notification. Found the reg key for it, but unsure what to do to access the registry. I'm comfortable doing reg edits, as I have done them for years on normal windows machines, so no worries about me being a noob.

Thanks for any help, guys!

Re: Touch Pro Messaging questions

Ok figured out how to disable the predictive (hit FN and then Space, go to settings and uncheck everything).

Re: Touch Pro Messaging questions

#1 - I have no idea about "enhanced" messaging, but I regularly get texts that were sent with more than 160 characters - they just get broken up into multiple messages.

#3 - Look at the first post here for some editors. I suggest Resco if you don't mind paying for your software. It does a lot and does it all very well.

Thanks UZ, I also was afraid with the reg edit, the cab worked just fine.

Re: Touch Pro Messaging questions

So I've been on the phone with three tech reps today, they all blame it on a network change a few months back, and won't file a ticket to try to get this change reversed. So much for an "upgrade."
