Apparently I have the Faster 3G Speeds than Superman!!

I have gone to www.mobilespeedtest.com a couple of times from a couple of different locations (i.e. Home, Work, and School) and I don't think I'm getting the right Numbers from the tests. At work my test results were 599186.3 kbps or 585.14 Mbps the site said "which means you can download from our server at 73.9 MB/sec. Then at home my test results were 1198372.6 kbps or 1170.29 Mbps on this test the site said "which means you can download from our server at 146.29 MB/sec. I was going to post a screen shot but don't know how to do a print screen on the phone and didn't have a camera to take a pic of it. The site says the Sprint's Average is 543 kbps. Any reason this site gives such high numbers?

Generally that means you have the data cached.

Also, which browser did you use to test the speeds with?

generally 3g is around 1-2 mbps so 1170 mbps is highly impossible. Think of it this way.. ur phone would not be able to download that fast because of hardware limits. The above post is correct. Your results were cached, meaning the data was already on your phone before it was downloaded. Try dslreports.com/mspeed

This is my theory: The rest of our phones are slower because you're hogging up all the bandwidth. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED! I SAY GOOD DAY SIR.

Opera doesn't test correctly, use Pocket IE, or tether your computer, which would provide the most accurate results

Yeah my tethering speeds are horrible, much worse than my mogul... Sprint/HTC put a speed governor on this little thing.

That's because you're using Opera and everything goes through their servers so the test is to Opera servers.

Use Internet Explorer like said above and you will get accurate speeds.

That's only true if you are using Opera Mini (the java app)... Opera Mobile does not use any type of proxy or anything like that.

Mobilespeedtest.com is like a 5k file or something, designed for noobs who still don't have 3G. To get accurate results, you have to tether and use speedtest.net.
