install psshutxp, you can turn off display there and keep playing music or map the displayswitch.exe that comes with it to a button to do that also

It will continue playing it in standby if you have a headset connected. Otherwise, just leave it on, and it will go to sleep automatically in a couple minutes, and when it goes to sleep automatically it will keep playing through the speaker.

S2P works great, I dont even bother with the TF3D music tab

You should be able to use SSMaPa to link the music tab to a different mp3 player
