Exclamation HTC TP lag when switching Portrait/Landscape???

Does anyone know what's the deal with the lag (slowdown) on the HTC Touch Pro's when you go from portrait to landscape? It bogs down so much then after a little while returns to normal speed, is there any way to remedy this? A tweak or hack?

This is very evident when you start using the keyboard to type...!

Thanks in advance guys!

Do you have the Vistahide battery meter installed?

Yes I do but it won't allow me to delete it from the startup folder! It tells me it is locked? Any ideas?

Vistahide is the cause of the slow down. What ROM are you running?

I am using Scotts 1.2 Kitchen, cooked the ROM myself, I installed the battery meter myself as a 3rd party app though. I managed to disable it, but I still cannot delete it.

It doesn't show up in the remove programs list?

No it doesn't show up in the remove programs folder, it was a standalone exe file, copied it to the startup folder... That may have have been my mistake, I would hate to hard reset for this one little spp.

Try using a different file manager like midnight commander to remove the file.

I changed the extension on the file in the startup folder, did a softreset so that it would not load, then i was able to delete.
