Email sync with exchange question

Hey,
My email is setup correctly and works perfectly fine during the day time.
Emails come within one minute or less.

But at night...it doesn't seem to be syncing.
I checked the schedule and have it setup to "as item arrives" for both peak and off-peak hours and still nothing.

Any ideas why it's doing this only during night time?
Thanks.

Re: Email sync with exchange question

what could be causing this on the server side.

and the 5 minute thing wouldn't that cause more of a battery drain?

i don't think so. it's creating a data connection every 5 minutes if you're not connected and trying to send the mail out. i think it's better than having a constant connection to the server thus easier on the battery. least that's how it works in my head. note: my head has been known to be wrong on several occassions

Re: Email sync with exchange question

Personally I wish i had this problem. Mine syncs all times of the day.. Nice little alarm when you get notifications at 3-3:30 in the morning.

Are you an exchange admin? If you are not have you checked with the IT guys? They might have an answer for you quicker than it might take to figure it out on your own

Re: Email sync with exchange question

Just like you have setting on your TP, you have settings on your exchange server that dictates push/sync time....check with your IT dude.
