Sprint Picturemail app needs to be 'fluffed' sometimes....

Hey all,

Generally, I have no problem with Sprint MMS (official CAB) working. However, sometimes I notice that I will recieve 1 or 2 pic mails the instant that I open up the sprint picturemail interface (to send another one, shcange settings, etc).

So, That makes me think that some sort of additional action needs to be taken sometimes - or a data session needs to be intiated... You know, almost like it needs to be running in the background and check periodically. It's odd.

It just peeves me that when I go to send a new pic mail, I get notified of 3 pic mails that were sent several hours ago.

Anyone notice this?

Later,

Matt!

I notice that too. I think it depends on what ROM you are using. I may be wrong though.

I ditched the Sprint Mail Cab in favor of Arcsoft 5. Response is instant now.

I also do not use the Sprint picturemail app. I use sMMS instead.

Re: Sprint Picturemail app needs to be 'fluffed' sometimes....

Hey again,

I found a reg entry under the HTC MMS folder that has a key of 3GNetwork=0 - anyone think this would be fun to change to a 1, and see if it allows pics to send faster?

Also, as I mentioned in another post, with Arcsoft 5.x on my Sprint Stock ROM, i can send no problem, but when I send a picmail to my phone, it wakes up as if receiving something, but it never, ever arrives.... So close, yet so far away.

One more thing - is there ever a way to 'start' Arcsoft mms? Or is it only opened when you create a new message?

Just a thought...
