Question I/S or Wmodem via BT plus A/S @ same time?

I'm not sure if the TP can do what I want but there are people here more knowledgeable than me, so here goes.

I use my TP as my primary Internet connection. My building isn't wired for cable, and DSL is a crapshoot according to my neighbors. The Sprint signal here is very strong OTOH, so it's a great connection, even though I do have to reboot it about once per day when it just stops for no apparent reason.

Is there a way to use the built-in "Internet Sharing" app or Wmodem (I hear it is more reliable in some cases) via B/T (Or WiFi, but only if absolutely needed due to extra power drain & heat) and still retain the ability to view my TP screen on my PC, transfer files to/from the phone, and work with apps on the TP via my PC while Internet Sharing is running?

If so - How do I set this up?

Thanks!

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to do this. As soon as your phone goes to modem mode, it won't register as an ActiveSync device anymore. It uses a completely different driver when you're tethering than when you're syncing.

Well.. Darn. Out of curiosity, am I the only one in this situation, or do other people want this ability as well?

I've tried in the past to get this functionality and no combination of things would get it to work. Once the phone goes to tethering mode, the computer will not recognize it as an ActiveSync device no matter what you do.
