Hard reset not working after soft reset?

Hey, I recently tried the hot fix here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...320#post681320

Hard reset won't work on my phone now. I do the process but it just hangs on a black screen. Any help is deeply appreciated...

EDIT: Changed the title for easier searching, just in case for future reference or for anyone looking for something like this.

Re: Hard resseting not working after soft reset?

both volume (volume up+down) and power?

I tried volume down + center + soft reset and volume down + center + down.

OMG! lmao... I'm so sorry volume down, center and power did it.... I thought it was volume down center and soft reset

EDIT: I was trying volume down + center + power, while it was on. Doing it while it was off worked.

Turn the phone off, hold volume down, center button, and power at the same time. Hold until prompted to reset.

^

Wow, I feel dumb. I guess that's the real way to do it. I just searched on google how to do it and a couple of forums said to: while it's on volume down, center key + soft reset.

Re: Hard resseting not working after soft reset?

So you got it to work? Some people have got it to work by holding volume down, center button, power, and then soft reset while holding all 3. I don't have enough hands for that, so I just turn the phone off first. That's probably what the people were talking about that you read on google.

Re: Hard resseting not working after soft reset?

Yep... phone back to normal ... Now time to hack it a bit.

EDIT: OMG! just realized the same steps are in the TP essential thread. Wow! I never noticed that before.
