Active Sync Issue

I just restored my TP with Sprite Backup and now when I connect it to my PC I get this error message:

Sync cannot be completed successfully. Reconnect your device and try again. If the problem persist, see the Microsoft Activesync Troubleshooter in the Microsoft Activesync Help on your computer.

Anyone know how to resolve this issue?

Thanks

Make sure 'Advanced Network Connectivity' is unchecked on your phone...

Re: Active Sync Issue

Try using a different cord. For some reason, this usually works for me. If I use my dock, it syncs fine...if I use my PS3 charging cord, it won't.

Also, check that the pins in the charging port aren't bent. If they are, use a precision screwdriver, toothpick, or something else small to bend them back.

Re: Active Sync Issue

It wouldnt be a bad move to click on "File" "Delete Mobile Device" before you try this...
  1. Connect your phone to the PC
  2. Open ActiveSync
  3. Let it try to sync
  4. Click on "Tools" at the top
  5. Click on "Options"
  6. Uncheck everything and press "OK"
  7. Try syncing now.. DOES IT WORK? IT SHOULD
  8. Now go thru Tools>Options and put a check next to ONLY "Contacts"
  9. Click "OK"
  10. Now try to sync.. it worked for me
REPEAT PROCESS FOR EACH ITEM. I found the problem to occur primarily when the device has two sync profiles setup. Either on two computers or 2 on one computer.

Let us know if this worked for you.

Re: Active Sync Issue

igot5 has something there. I would delete the device and re-add it. If you restored the sprint backup active sync may see it as a 'different phone' of sorts.
