Question about stock headset adapter/dongle

how are you using the stock adapter?
Does it work for you?
If you have given up on it, what have you replacedd it with?

Have you had problems with it?

Here's mine:
I use mine for streaming my internet radio into my car radio. I have tried using it with the stock headset, but no one can hear me through the microphone.

Re: Question about stock headset adapter/dongle

I use a BT headset, hate wires for headset. Jawbone II, cost more then the TP (lol)

For media, I have to admit I use that evil ipod touch, which has (gasp) a standard stereo jack.

The dongle-adapters are neat. I wish I could not lose mine every time.

So how am I using the stock adapter? I'm leaving it in the box as long as I can, then no doubt I will take it on a flight, use it once, and never see it again.

I keep my 'dongle' accessory hooked up to my car's aux jack with an 1/8" audio cable and don't have any problems using music, navi, or streaming. Since the built-in microphone is byp***** and the headset mic is not connected I am not able to talk while plugged in this way (even on speakerphone mode). I knew I should have gotten bluetooth when I bought my car...

I wonder if thats what's causing my bluetooth to disconnect during calls.

I use the stock dongle from time to time. I actually really like it. Can use the janky included headphones or my nice vmoda's. its actually really good for connecting multiple sets of headphones to share audio. I also have a BT receiver in my car that allows me to transmit audio to the stereo system. works great.

I use the stock dongle to connect to my regular usb cord because my charger stopped working!

Re: Question about stock headset adapter/dongle

The last few days I have actually found myself using the an adapter I purchased from HTC for my Mogul that is similar, just because it allows me to use the stock headset for phone calls, while also streaming through my car stereo system. I kinda like it, now that I've tried it.
