Please help me find a solution to my irritation

I have been using my Touch Pro since November, and I have a minor irritationsthat I need to find some work around for. I've been using the belt holster that came with it. ( I tried another case ( a form fitting one ) but didn't really like it that much, the screen seemed overexposed. ) About half of the time when I try to fish the phone from the holster to answer it, ( more than 50% of the time, when I'm in a hurry ) I touch either the volume up/volume down button or the power button, all three of which send the call to voicemail. I haven't been able to find any settings anywhere to adjust those properties. Am I just not looking hard enough? Any ideas?

Thank you
