What's the "most efficient" version of Opera out for TP?

I've read a ton of posts about new versions of Opera on here, XDA, and a few other sites. I'm sorta confused about which is the best in terms of stability, speed, ease of use, etc.... What is everyone using now?

Also, I installed a newer version of Opera on my first TP. When I did, it did not install over the version that came with the original sprint rom. When I went to programs--->All programs, it would show 2 Opera icons in the list. What is the best way to remedy this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I had the same issue when installing the newer opera 9.5, I don't remember the build but it's the latest released one in their website. Another issue that I experienced was that it would automatically open, every time i restarted the phone or closed the browser another one would pop up. To fix this I had to leave at least one tab open all the time. I uninstalled the older one and the link in the internet tab messed up (and I was to lazy to fix it). After reinstalling the original version I decided to leave it with that one and forget about the beta version. Maybe there are some fixes out there, but it's just too much of a hassle for me and I do just fine with the original.

I vote for the build listed in my programs, tweaks link in my signature (the cab is included). I've tried a half dozen other since then but I keep going back to this one maintains all the functionality, loads quickly and has few if any bugs. Only real drawback is that flash still doesn't work.

I believe if you use the wheel to zoom instead of double tap it won't reformat. If you double tap then it zooms and reformats the text to the width of the screen. At least that what the build I'm using does.

I don't notice any reformating when switching between landscape and portrait.

If this insn't what you mean by skinnyretarded please clarify...

there's a bug in the version that ships... if you switch to landscape from portrait, it gets extremely skinny and small, zoomed out 100x more than its page width, and its impossible to get it back to a viewable size. no double tapping or anything involved.

Are the "mobile" pages you're viewing? Sometimes those don't render correctly. Try the build listed here: Check out my recommendedprograms, tweaks

It works great, even on mobile espn etc.
