If it was bricked, a hard reset wouldn't fix it.

well i guess you could call it a semi brick, it just wont boot. Im trying to avoid a hard reset because i dont want to lose all my data.

at this point i dont think you have another choice...hard reset...then hope it boots properly after

You should ALWAYS SAVE your data on the STORAGE CARD. ALWAYS! RELIGIOUSLY!
