TF3D Music Player - Album Art Caching

One thing that drives me up a wall about the included music player is the way it handles caching of album art. Art takes far longer to load than it should, and once it has, if you scroll past that section, it unloads and has to reload - having a side effect of making scrolling choppy. It only loads art for the items on screen. Why on earth on a phone with the most memory I'm aware of with software that generates optimized thumbnails using FreeImage is there such an aggressive caching mechanism?! Is there an adjustment for that anywhere?

It does suck, I thought it would be better with the new SDHC card I got, and the Sd tuneup, but it still lags. o
At least it doesn't lag in the actual player screen, just on the library screens

I disagree. I have to wait a good 5 seconds every time i click the music tab

I actually have about a 30 second delay. It can be bad enough sometimes, that I have to soft reset. I have heard about people disabling the tab and using something else, but I dont know how to disable it.

Mine loads in the same amount of time as the other tabs, 2 seconds. This is with a sdhc card and the tuneup

I've been contemplating making a media player for a few weeks now, but I'm not sure that I want to bother... It would be more for education than anything, as I'm a programming student. This is making me annoyed enough that I might try, though. It bothers me that I can't just fix the existing application.

Thanks for the suggestion. I use S2P from time to time, but it's not very smooth and the lack of a good way to browse music other than coverflow, which due to the choppiness is hard to control, makes me just go back to the TF3D player.

I am running S2P on my TP but I have one small issue. When I use touch flo, my album art doesn't load properly after
