Story of my phone's plunging battery life, questions

At 5pm I had 70%. I made a 1 hour phone call. After that call it was at 65%. I set the phone aside. I picked it up like 5 minutes later and it was at 50%. I set it aside again and picked it up at about 11pm. It was at 40%. I watched as it literally went down to 39, 38, 37% as I looked at it. I hit the power button, then turned it back on and it was at 35%. I just now watched it drop to 33%. What is going on? This very strange.

I installed the cab files that do percentages. I also briefly did the pollinterval tweak, before switching it back last night. I'm confused. I've had the Touch Pro before and it never behaved like this. Any ideas?

You're looking at your phone too much.

hahah but really, I would make sure there are no programs running in the background, make sure everything is off, bluetooth, beams, wi-fi, data, etc..
Also, if you just flashed a Rom, or installed the battery .cab in your case, it helps to let the battery drain all the way, till it turns off, that do a full charge. It kind of calibrates the meter.

Okay. Thanks for the advice. I'll see how it goes. Maybe I've just forgotten how the battery breaks in. I was partly wondering if it was the software that gets percentages from the battery at fault.

I wish HTC would get on with releasing a Radio ROM update.

Weird. Woke up this morning and the battery was at 33%. Right now it's at 29%. Not sure what that wackiness was for a couple hours there.

There are numerous discussions regarding the issues with these batteries...so I'm gonna close this one down.
