Verizon Touch Pro Owners How To Free Memory?

yes i have a Verizon touch pro and yes it has half the program memory of sprints version. How can i increase available memory? this thing runs 60% of total available memory just by turning it on. WTF! anyways I have been doing a lot of searches and I have installed Diamond tf3d configuration and i dont see any difference, maybe there are some verizon touch pro owners out there that would like to say something in this post about improving available memory.... what i dont get is my xv6900 had less memory than the touch pro and i remember it would use like 45 % of available memory. I wanted to use the advanced configuratrion tool to twak some of the registry but i cant seem to run the program even though it installed. OK sorry for long post

Re: Verizon Touch Pro Owners How To Free Memory?

There is no way for you to really free up any RAM other than getting rid of TF3D. Try finding a custom ROM, that may free up some of your RAM. But in all likelihood it isn't going to happen, since the TP has a VGA screen, and physical keyboard, which both would need more memory to run than a QVGA screen and onscreen keyboard, which both possess and more on the TP. Also, Verizon decided to screw up their TP by only giving you guys 192mb of RAM, rather than the 288mb that Sprint/Alltel has, also the retarded keyboard layout. Sorry to hear about the miserable amount of RAM, I hope this helps, if anything, at least you have more RAM left over than the old HTC Mogul/Titan/VX6800. It used to only have 24mb or so at start up...
