How to flash new radio

Hi is there a thread or sticky that gives step by step instructions on how to update the radio? I searched and it did give me a set of instructions to update the rom, but is that the same as just updating the radio? Do I need to have Hard-SPL if I'm just flashing a new radio?

Re: How to flash new radio

Just download the radio you want and click on ROMupdateutility.exe. If you unlocked your phone once, you don't need to do it again.

Yup..

As far as I know you would only have to unlock your phone if your using a radio from another carrier.

But yah download whatever radio. Unpack it. Then run the RomUpdateUtility and it will take you through the rest..Shouldnt erase any data but you never know backup whatever you need to.

Yes, there is a sticky on how to unlock the phone, after you do that you can flash the radio and a custom ROM if you want. But before you do, make sure you backup your information.
