Physical Damage?

The only thing that could be considered physical damage on my phone is this...

The reason im asking is because im worried Verizon will try to charge me the full retail price if it is not under warranty... this seems like a new development because i always remember being told that if my phone wasnt under warranty due to damage id just have to cough up 49 dollars for the deductible for my insurance claim, or whatever. But the thing is im worried about paying the full 500 for this phone and wanted to know you guys' input on whether or not i've got physical damage.

Re: Physical Damage?

should'nt be TOO bad, honestly, it would depend on who you get. TECHNICALLY, yes that would be. Do you have insurance still?

Yes. I was thinking i'd go in the store, and try to see if i can get it exchanged there since i was already given the go ahead over the phone but they couldnt finish the process, etc. The biggest thing i worry about is that fee. And once again, yes i do have insurance. I mean, the best thing id like to have would be if they just replaced it... and if it was "physical damage" id gladly pay the 50 dollar fee.

Re: Physical Damage?

Now did you do the damage or did it appear? Cracking on the chrome surround is a known defect.

Re: Physical Damage?

I dont remember, but the chrome cracking isnt going to make sense here since its just platic. But theres a good chance it could have been from one or two of the times that ive dropped it on accident and didnt notice it.

Re: Physical Damage?

holy GIANT pic lol...

that physical damage for sure man.... but like they said depends on who sees it, and how nice their feeling.... i had kinda the same deal like 2weeks ago, nut with sprint... i wanted it switched with a new housing... they gave me a free replacement and wrote it off as flaking chrome(and it was a chunk missing), so who knows..

and its $100 for you deduct now, not 50... and u never have to worry aboput FULL price.... thats not even in the terms anywhere... most you can get charged is upto $300 for non return of phone and 75-$150 if the phone is found to not have an issue... your turning your phone in, and u can see the issue....... no worries but the deuctable at the most man

Re: Physical Damage?

how did you check it?
i want to see my deductible but I dont want to open a whole new claim for my phone.
I also have a palm centro that starts crapping out on me. screen stops working, speaker and stuff. is that considered manufacture defect or is that something i have to pay for?
