I don't understand cooking roms, tweaking, and .cab
I don't understand any of this.
Is cooking my rom - like overclocking - could I damage my phone? Flashing my rom? If I add a .cab file to change something is it permanent? How do I test a .cab file? Is there a guide for any of this? I'm surprised there isn't a sticky but maybe we all aren't n00bs likes me. |

cabs can be removed in delete programs. start>settings>system>remove programs. to see what a cab changes, theres usually a screenshot. for flashing roms, there are stickys. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=68 yes you can brick your phone. you need to do alot of reading before flashing. tons of info. use the search feature.

A cab file is an installer for ppc (pocket Pc's). its a file that contains other files but once opened it will tell the other files where to go in your device's directory or make changes to your registry.... you can always delete .cabs like the previous post. |
