Getting rid of autocompletion with hardware keyboard
 

It's annoying.. I can type out my own words. I went into the settings for T9 and general and killed any spell checking or auto-complete, still does it!

Any ideas? I cooked my own ROM with Calkulins Kitchen.

check your settings again, worked for me. i also hate it.

I unchecked everything already... still pops up the black bar as I type. Seems to cause a delay because I can type 2-3 words ahead when it does that. in Palringo it wont pop that up and it keeps up.

I cooked this rom, is there something I can leave out to keep this from going on?

bring up your virtual keyboard and change the slider to abc instead of t9

on the hardware keyboard, hit FN then space (T9) then select ABC instead of T9 English
