FYI: eticket still replacing with new in box units
just a general FYI if people were holding off to get a warranty repair (not insurance replacement) they are replacing with NIB units. My wife just called and told me sprint sent me another phone. (i had a huge issue a few months back with them sending me craptastic moguls almost daily) so if you have a genuine warranty issue file through the online self service. I got it overnight as well. (filled it out Wednesday afternoon got the call a few minutes ago.)

Re: FYI: eticket still replacing with new in box units
Hi, I have an HTC Fuze, and my some of the letters on the slide-out keyboard aren't typing what they are supposed to. I called HTC and ATT and now I have to choose between repairing the phone (HTC) or replacing it with a refurbished one (ATT).
What do you think would be a better option? thank you |

If anything before you send it back, try a Hard Reset... Be warned that a Hard Reset will erase ALL your information, so back it up! I have found that some Hardware issues are fixed by a Hard Reset...

Re: FYI: eticket still replacing with new in box units
What did you actually do..?...Because I am having issues with my keyboard sometimes freezing up...I called Sprint and they told me to bring it to a store and let them hold it for a hour to see if it does it...I don't have the time to let them just hold my phone for that long...So they said its nothing they can do...I already hard reset my phone and all..Nothing..

Re: FYI: eticket still replacing with new in box units
I did a Hard Reset... It worked... Go to a Repair Shop, tell the situation, tell them it's a defective hardware and should be replaced under the warranty, and get a replacement...

Re: FYI: eticket still replacing with new in box units
The hard reset didn't do any good, unfortunately.
I was wondering which one of the alternatives would be better? The problem: when typing some of the letters (r, j, c), instead of the actual letter, it writes "sdfgh'", or "QWERT". Also, when using Fn button and try to type 8, for instance, it opens Communication Manager, e.g. What would you choose - repair or refurbished? thanks |

Re: FYI: eticket still replacing with new in box units
Hmm... You have a Sprint Touch Pro right? A CDMA Touch Pro? Or a GSM Touch Pro? Sprint does not have the GSM Touch Pro.. If you have to use the Fn to type a number, you have the GSM version... On the Sprint version, you can type the number in with out having to use the Fn key...
