Battery tweak

Has anyone tried the tweak to extend the battery life? I tired it and I guess either I suck at editing my reg or it doesn't work, because I drained the batter just as fast if not faster with the tweak.

I had decent luck with this one:

Prolonging your battery life
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\Battery]
"PollInterval"=dword:4E20 (hex) or 20000 (decimal)
Default is 5000 (decimal)

+1 for that edit, did wonders for me. op have you ever hard reset your tp?

i downloaded the diamond tweak and it extended my battery life tremendously.if you download it,adjust everything to advised settings EXCEPT cleartype in landscape mode.leave that disabled.

What does this do? Does it change how often the phone polls the battery to see how much juice is left?

Is 5000=5 sec and 20000=20 sec?

i did both !! get 1 to 11/2 day of heavy use... i did like three of them but cant remember the third !!

Yep. Ideally, the driver would be such that it could be configured to poll at different intervals depending on whether the device is "on" or in standby mode. If the tweak is as big an improvement as some say (I saw no noticeable difference), then this idea would improve standby time dramatically.

For me, since I've gone to the Telus radio and get a better signal both at home and work, the battery barely drains at all on standby.

When I use it though, it drains pretty quickly, so this probably won't help me much (and probably doesn't really help anyone much).
