Noob here, how do I shut off my ringer without touching the screen?

Like the title says, On my old phone I could just press the side buttons to mute the ringer. It gets kinda annoying when i'm talking to someone and I have to pull out my phone to turn it off. Also, everytime I get a text the ringer plays til I select the text. It played for a good minute until I selected the text. How do I fix that as well?

you can press the side button on the tp as well. left side of phone.

for the text ringer you must trim your ringer or elect a shorter .wav file, I say 5 seconds, I have mine on an alert like a one beep kind of thing..if you use BT, you can just reject the call from your headset and that will kill the ringer
