Slingbox and Xbox 360? And no not to play my games on a TP. Lmao!!

I Have a question for you Slingbox owners. I want to know if you can view an Xbox 360 on your phone threw the player.

I'm asking because I can stream netflix from it and wanted to know if it is possible. Excuse if this is a dumb question. But I have been roaming this site for years and seen amazing things done to phones, so don't mind my curiosity. I think that would be nice if i can control the system from my phone to watch netflix and control an xbox 360 cam to see whats going on around my room.

I dont think it would be possible since slingbox is connected to your cable box and not your TV. Your 360 is most likely connected in the TVs input 1 channel which is completely independent from your cable box. The slingbox transmits your cable box broadcast no matter if the TV is off or in a channel or in video. The only way would be to connect the slingbox to your Tv and not the cablebox

Not possible. At least not with my slingbox. There is no interface for the console. You control the slingbox with a software version of your cable box/sat box remote control. There would be no way to control it even if you managed to somehow get the slingbox to recognize your console.

Sounds like a good idea but unless you have someone at home controlling the Xbox360 it's a no go. The slingbox will send any video source but it can't can't control the Xbox360.

unless the sling has an xbox dvd remote, I just ordered a hava - wonder if it will work with that

Now hold on! My slingbox has a ir emitter that could control the xbox because it has an IR input. So there is no technological barier to this problem.

if the xbox has a remote that works with it then your sling can control it

I think it could work. I had the slingbox hd and it was stolen. But while I had it, I had it hooked up component and it had an ir controller, but I am not sure if it will have the interface for the xbox dvd remote. Good luck.

good luck, I had a hava & it was complete 100% utter garbage. I finally replaced it with a slingbox & never had another problem.
