Touch Pro Registry Hack??
 

Recently I have applied the following registry hack to improve battery life...


Prolonging your battery life
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\Battery]
"PollInterval"=dword:4E20 (hex) or 20000 (decimal)
Default is 5000 (decimal)

The first time I did this the phone kept freezing up and I was having problems with my data connection.

I tried it again and the phone seems to be working fine but I am not seeing any difference in battery life. Has anyone had any luck with this or any other battery life reg edits?

To date I have not seen a successful battery saving app, cab, or registry edit. Sorry.

each reg tweak may add a few %, combined, my battery lasts noticeably longer than stock. its still a cdma device, which uses more power than gsm, and the battery is still capable of what it is capable of, and that is all.

I agree (unfortunately)

You'll see some wild claims for these tweaks, but they're all BS.....

the only things you can do to improve battery life is put backlight on the lowest settings and turn wi-fi off.

i believe that hack is BUILTIN some roms like Juicys and JUGGS 4.0

This just changes the amount of time the phone polls the battery which will increase battery life alot. The above quote is true as well. I have both of these done on my phone and I get great batt life.
