Re: Autocorrection/Autocompletion SOLVED

Is there any way to just turn off autocorrection and autocomplete and all of that? I exclusively use the keyboard on my Touch Pro and I have to wait for the phone to catch up to my typing and it's really annoying.

Re: Autocorrection/Autocompletion SOLVED

I tried doing this fix, and while it "worked" there were still some issues.
1) It seemed to be laggy (using the on-screen full QWERTY keyboard at least). Not a HUGE lag, but noticeable enough
2) The hardware keyboard SYM key and some FN shortcuts weren't working (didn't try them all)
3) (and this was probably the biggest gripe) For many things, the autocomplete list would go off the top of my screen (like when typing a contact's name for a txt message)

Because of these issues I reverted to how the Touch Pro does it by default. At first I was annoyed at this, and missed the old way of doing things (and I still might prefer it...dunno) but I've gotten pretty used to the new way, and it doesn't bother me so much anymore. I just gotta remember to go to ABC mode whenever I'm typing a new word for the first time, or when I'm typing in a name in the "To" field, and gotta remember to hit enter or space when I'm done typing a message (otherwise the autocomplete suggestion will stay up).
