Re: touch pro talking text msg.?

You need to change the settings for voice command.
Go to Start menu-->Settings-->Personal--Voice Command.
Select messaging from the list and click on Options. Uncheck High priority messages only.
Then it should read all your text messages.
The reason it was only reading your friends was that maybe that your friends text message was sent as High priority.

p.s. Welcome to the forum.

Re: touch pro talking text msg.?

have you checked your voice command messaging options, have "Announce new message" checked.

Re: touch pro talking text msg.?

Make sure that voice command is enabled
Go to Start menu-->Settings-->Personal--Voice Command.
It should look like this

Make sure that Messaging is checked

Select messaging from the list and click on Options. Uncheck High priority messages only.

Your phone will still give you the text message ringer, but it should read the messages.

Also, hi-light "Messaging" click on Notifications and check "Announce notifications through device speaker" and uncheck "Only during free time".

Re: touch pro talking text msg.?

Is there a way to have the phone read the message to you again. Like if you didnt hear the message. Just kinda as a fun thing, cuz i know on my boys dare he can have it read his texts on command, instead of just the one time when the message is delivered
