Text Messages Notifcations Bug?

My phone has done the same thing since i bought it!! it really hacks me off! i thought it might have been because of something i installed but my second phone does the same thing. i have just gotten use to leaving it off.

I reformed my phone today and it still did the samethings. First thing I did was turn on the option to have message pop up, 2min. later I receive a text, and the option misteriously turned off. Didn't even download anything to the phone yet when this happened.

I THINK I've found a solution. It conjunction with another thread regarding Voice Command, I turned off the announcements for text messages and alarms as well as for my ringer(in order to solve a seperate issue). So far, I have been getting the notification pop-up and the checked box has not mysteriously gone away. (this is after a few days and a few soft resets) I hope it works...

Been having the same problem here. It started about 3 or 4 weeks ago when i ugraded to a new version of Mighty's Rom. Me and a couple other people brought it to his attention and he said it would be fixed in the next release, but it never happened. He has released 3 more upgrades since, and all of them have it. I think it started with 4.12. All his releases before that one did not have this problem. Wish there was a fix. I counted on this feature a lot. I'll try to bring it up in the mighty thread again and see what happens.
