Printing PDF's ~ Ad hoc
Hello my fellow nerds.
For some odd reason when I attempt to print PDF files from my Touch to my Officejet h470wf, I receive an error. The printer is setup through an Ad hoc connection using WEP-128. I can print notepad and Word docs without issue using both programs and drivers. Jetcet(using the deskjet 460 driver) throws me a "transmission error" and PrintBoy(which came free with the printer and provides an h470 driver) states "Error connecting to printer", then "Error occurred: 4". Any ideas? |
Re: Printing PDF's ~ Ad hoc
no idea yet but a question, did you upgrade jetcet from their web site?? that may or may not help but definitely the right thing to do first, the upgrade is free since it came on our TP'S, their system recognizes that.

Re: Printing PDF's ~ Ad hoc
thanks for the tip. i upgraded to jetcet v5.2 which now has an officejet 470 driver, unfortunately it produces the same results printing pdf files. just for the heck, i went ahead and reestablished the ad hoc without encryption but this made no difference.
a few times i did get it to print the top 2% of the page before it error'd out. from the content it did print, it looks like the print format it greatly off. i'm starting to think this problem lies with the creation properties of the pdf file itself...hmm |
Re: Printing PDF's ~ Ad hoc
