Oh great...now I get no ringtones...

Welp, I just found out that my phone will no longer play any ringtones when receiving calls. I'm close to doing a hard reset, because I don't know what the hell is tripping this phone out!

Suggestions? Cause I'm missing calls, and I'm only alerted by voicemails

did you go to settings>sounds>notifications and event>phone calls and does it say none at ring type? maybe that might be the problem.

Oh ya, I forgot to mention about all that...

I've double checked settings, changed ringtones, muted/unmuted, soft-reset, test called from different phone...turned off bluetooth, turn on bluetooth... still nothing....

Re: Oh great...now I get no ringtones...

This happened to me on my Mogul once. Turns out somehow it lost the file association for MP3s (or WMAs, whatever it was), so when it would try to play the ringtone it didn't know what application to load it in. I opened up TCPMP and set it to open those file types and the problem was solved. Might be the same issue here.

Will it not play any rings at all, even the stock ones, or just ones you added?

Angry Re: Oh great...now I get no ringtones...

This happened to me as well on the Diamond. In my case only the alarm tones (wav files) will work, not alert or ring (wma files) or custom rings (mp3). Tried hard reset, associating file types, re flashing rom. Nothing has worked. Associations are fine because the other types play fine from the Windows\rings directory.
If anyone else come across a fix, please share the steps.
