16gb micro + Touchpro music problems

Hello all.

I have around 12 gb of music on the 16gb microsdhc card.

1. On the music tab when i click library to browse by artist, it lists most but not all the artists on my card.

2. File explorer on my phone detects the card and see's all my music files BUT WMP doesn't recognize the storage card in library!!

I know it's not a defective card because i've tested this w/ 2 different 16gb cards.
Maybe it's too much music for htc audio manager & wmp to handle??

Anyone else notice these problems??

Did you try a soft reset after adding the music? Sometimes it won't pick up the artists until you soft reset. Not sure why.

yep i have soft resetted. The same artists are missing from the audio manager library.

Did you do a library update on the WMP

OT Question for OP:

I've heard when you load a lot of music on your card, the Music tab will slow down. Does this also happen for you?

This is when you need a class 6 or higher card. 16 GB cards so far to the best of my knowledge are only class 2 so they will be really slow by default.

It's slow but also, The HTC audio manager doesn't list 100% of the artists, so i know that the problem isn't necessarily the class 2 read speed. I guess TF3D just can't handle more than a certain amount of music.

Update library on WMP worked though. Thanks!

I know that when you're in the Library under WMP, choose Menu - Library - and Storage card.

You can choose which library you see. Im having an issue in that i replace my 1gb card with a 8gb card. On the music tab, it shows still the music from the 1gb card, but all of them have huge exclamation points (!) cause they arent there anymore -

I've updated the library. I've rebooted, and still, the tab shows these huge !'s.

And my tab goes extremely slow when I stop on it to see the music. Takes about a good 30-40 seconds to load.

Anyone know how I can make it so it doesnt read the old files any longer?

Mine goes a little slow (8gb class 4 microsd/6gb [4500 songs] music on it), but this week I've been listening to one artist only, and that pops right up. Also, it only takes a second to pop up for me if I let it load and then go on about my business and come back to it later. I don't however, have an issue with missing tracks. Maybe there is some small error in the files themselves that the applications refuse to list them. Some programs will do that.
