Gps Fix v .5

Hehe sweet title right?

Anyway, it seems as though there are two variations for gps. For those who have not touched any of their settings or installed any cabs, they may be able to get away with this:

How to get Sprint touch pro on Verizon Gps Working without any mods (cabs*)
1. connect to the phone via qpst, read from phone (search for answers to problems if you have any)
2. go to gpsOne
3. set the ip and settings to
"
PDE IP Address = 68.28.31.49
PDE Port Number = 4503
PDE Transport = IP
Position Calculation = PDE
"
4. write to phone
5. soft reset (not needed, but I like to)
6. open up google maps and enjoy near under 10 second locks with 7-10 satellites in buidlings

Works on VZW Leaked Rom, but not on anything else. Doesn't matter on device as of now.

CONFIRMED to work on stock leaked VzW ROM...

Then on other roms, use bored's fix

use qpst and change the gpsone settings to
ip: 66.174.95.132
port: 8888
pde transport: ip
position calculation: pde

so really all you need to do is

1. do the qpst as stated above
2. install bored's cab file
3. update to 51143.prl (not needed, but no roaming indicator)

*(i will leave the variation of bored's way empty because he putforth a lot of effort, and deserves to have his name on it)*

Either way the updated prl file 51143 will remove the roaming indicator and still allow everything to work.

Got question? I got Answers, pm me for the quickest answers, but post here for group therapy.

while those who have attempted to fix it will have to go with Bored's fix, or a variation of it, all credit to bored though.

That port is wrong and the IP is wrong. Secondly needing a soft reset is mandatory. It wont pick up the changes in NVRAM untill it soft boots. I could be wrong on the soft boot but I doubt it.

You should also try to clarify what device and what carrier you are talking about. IM confused now as to what phone you are talking about and what carrier.

EDIT: First IP is wrong is what I meant.... Second one is correct for VZW. Where does the first one go?

EDIT 2 First IP resolves to sprint. Do you think sprint will allow a VZW carried phone to connect to its servers?

This thread is bound to confuse people...
Not only does it not provide any new information, but it misinforms.

I have to admit that the title was some pretty clever bait.

1) no the ip works, and worked on my sprint phone on verizon.
2) yes, sorry i knew what i meant, but didn't put it in words
3) you can turn off phone and then restart the phone through come and the changes will take effect

Re: Gps Fix v .5

Noir-

If you're having problems try this:

1. Flash VZW leaked ROM
2. flash NexVision VZW Safe ROM
3. Apply GC's VZW GPS provisioning cab
4. Apply stock VZW 1.46 PRI
5. Apply Bored's modified 1.46 PRI
6. Apply GC's VZW carrier cab
7. Apply the following qpst settings:

ip: 66.174.95.132
port: 8888
pde transport: ip
position calculation: pde
