Touch Pro as a Zune replacement? (MP3 playback/FM tuner) What's needed?Instructions?

I currently have a Touch Pro with Sprint and I have no MP3 player.
Rather than buy a 2nd device (Zune 16gb), I'd prefer to buy a 16gb card and then modify my Touch Pro to operate EXACTLY like a Zune....or better.
(MP3 playback, FM radio, playlists, skins, etc)

What EXACTLY do I have to do and is there a step-by-step guide somewhere?
What software do I have to download?
Where can I find it?
etc., etc, etc. ?????

Thank you in advance for any help.

there's a sticky here that explains the fm tuner... read that.

as for an mp3 player, find one you like. there's many.

Thanks.

Can people please comment on the players they have experience with and what they recommend?

Thank you.

And you'll need about a dozen spare batteries.

I have a Zune, but i think the TP has better sound, maybe because the Zune doesn't have an equalizer?????????!!!!!!

Re: Touch Pro as a Zune replacement? (MP3 playback/FM tuner) What's needed?Instructio

The FM tuner is the one thing you'll have no chance of duplicating right now, but the rest can be closely imitated for now until MS releases the Zune client on Windows Mobile (which is highly expected to be coming).

The problem with doing this, however, is battery life. Using your PHONE as a combination Phone/MP3 player/PDA is that you drain the battery faster. Especially when people are complaining about battery life in the first place.

Personally, I have a 120GB Zune for my media and my Touch Pro for my phone/PDA, and I'm perfectly content with that. I don't carry my Zune with me all the time, and even when I do it's in my car or at my desk where I'm not worried about pocket space. If I'm going out for a walk, I opt to not carry my phone.

tt C6, I just tried this new MP3 Player called Nitrogen. It was created by a guy name Microfi on XDA-Developers. Try it out and tell me what you think. It has an option to black your screen while listening to music as well as a sleep mode. I been listening to music roughly five hours a day since I got it. I have 6GB of music on my 8GB card.

Re: Touch Pro as a Zune replacement? (MP3 playback/FM tuner) What's needed?Instructio

i'd never want to rely on my phone for mp3 playing... thats why i have an 80gb ipod.. if the battery lasted 4x as long, maybe, but until then (which is unlikely there will ever be a "then"), i won't be bothering. it does sound really good though.
