Garmin Mobile

Has anyone tinkered with garmin mobile, that comes on the 2gig MircoSD?
I travel out of the main sprint area a lot.. though the phone works great, the sprint nav and google maps flop when there is no NET access.
In contacting GARMIN, I was told that it comes on a 2gig card, and can not be copied to another card. Which makes no sense.. what power user would want to switch the card out like that just to use one program? any takers to join me in this one? Any higher end techs, do you think GHOST could be used to copy to a larger cap MicroSD card/?

Well, technically its not allowed to transfer it over, but it is possible. I am doing it that way now. But since I am on verizon, it doesnt work out too good. No Gps for me....Yet.

Re: Garmin Mobile

I have garmin mobile xt installed on my 8GB SD card which sits on my sd slot ....it works great!!! sprint touch pro.... mine is one of those versions that is a no no to discuss...as far as transferring from their SD card I am not sure but I dont think so...tomtom navigator is the same way.....I think it would be quite a pain in the @^# to switch it out when you want to use it.....it is very handy to have sitting there and ready at the touch

Re: Garmin Mobile

I have three garmins all automotive units.. paid for each upgrade.. which sucks.. updates should be included if you have multiple sets.. hence the reason for getting this to work..

Re: Garmin Mobile

Anybody tried this? It is a premium price, but you can install it on any card it looks like.
