everything that was old is new again.

I have a gmail account set up on my TP. I check my email really often since I use it for work. Two time now I will look at the message count it will read 80 new messages. Now it is real uncommon for me to get 80 messages in 10 mins...but I look and it is the old messages that I have already read just now they are marked as unread.
My other email accounts on my phone do not do this...any idea what is going on.

yeah dude, sign on to your gmail account , go to settings, Pop or Imap and make adjustement there, like dowload email from the last 30 days, all or whatever but your solution is there,,,,did you just reset your gmail ?
