Going to NY on a trip, should I buy a new cell phone before I go?

I'm afraid of being out and about for a whole day and having the phone away from a charger. That kind of sucks. Is there anything that I can do aside from buying another phone, to ensure that my Touch Pro will last a full day?

I tend to carry an extra battery with me when I know I'm not going to be near a charger for the day. A second battery is a lot cheaper than buying another phone.

LOL.

A couple months back before a Vegas trip I picked up a cheap Diamond cradle that will charge a second battery (It was 50% cheaper than the TP cradles, I didn't have to wait to get it from Hong Kong and I don't care about having my TP in a cradle - I only use this for charging my second battery). I also picked up 2 spare batteries.

I was only worried about battery life then because it was about 2 days after the TP came out and no custom ROM's were available.

Carrying an extra battery seems like a better idea to me.

I was obviously being a little cheeky. It's frustrating to know that you can't trust your phone for a day's use. Are there ROMs that extend the battery life?

understandable. But it is what it is though. If it's not living up to your standards then by all means return the phone and get another one that will fit your needs.
