Stop Alltel customization on Touch Pro
 

Does anyone know of a way to stop the Alltel customization on the Touch Pro after doing a hard reset? I have tried doing a soft reset and removing the battery before the script runs like on the PPC-6800 but no luck.

when the window pops up warning you they are about to run. soft reset.

You might even have to soft reset twice?

I have but when it boots back up it starts back over at tap the screen/align the screen and the warning screen comes up again. I tried it 3 times. Once when the warning screen first comes up, Once I waited for it to count down to 1 sec, Once I waited for the cab to start installing, all had the same result.

I am trying by soft reseting multiple times now

I have tried a soft reset at the warning screen three times in a row but on reboot it always come back to the set up screen for Windows mobile. If I do not let the customization run the phone does not seem to save the Windows set up and the customization wants to run after the Windows setup. I have also tried the soft reset at the end of the Windows setup but I get the same result.

Any ideas

to skip welcome screen it did work to skip welcome screen but customization still wants to run

What sort of customization does alltel do? I'm just curious (sorry for not adding anything productive)

Wanna try a custom ROM? Alltel Rom is posted on that page towards the bottom. I am working on a better release hopefully on monday or so. But for now it remains very close to stock, only took out the bloatware alltel adds, and then did a few tweaks, and added some small programs. If you are not scared to try out a custom rom, give that a shot. And let me know of anything you can find out.

MMS and GPS still work on there. in case that in a concern of yours. It is tailored just for alltel users.
