GPSToday App

Good Evening,

I just downloaded the GPSToday app because of all the powerful GPS related features it has, however, I noticed that the program is always running upon startup of the device. Is there anywhere I can go to change the setting such that the application doesn't run until I open it (I am not sure if there is an easy way to edit startup applications on WM, but I couldn't find anything). Thanks!

Re: GPSToday App

I've never heard of this. Other than the problem you're having, is it better than sprint nav?

Hi mjodotcom,

The true utility of GPSToday always having a fix available comes only if the app is always running in the background. The app shouldnt be taking any more memory than the today-screen plugin version(which keeps running all the time because it is on the today screen). But, if you wish to remove it, you can go to \Windows\Startup in File explorer and delete the GPSToday link. In the next version we will make it an option for the user to have it auto-started or not.
Thanks

Re: GPSToday App

I see. I was curious, whats the difference between always having the "fit" and being run continuously?

Re: GPSToday App

just drag the icon onthe left, radar tower to the clock icon on right, that will turn it off, then drag it again to turn it on when you need
