Question "File As" software question

Hi -

So I am very new to the whole Pocket PC world, and I hope this isn't too much of a newby question, but how do I change the default on my phone to file new contacts as First Last.

The default with my TP, when I enter in a new contact is, Last name then first name or (Last,First). I want it to file as "First Last" instead.

I changed this default on my Outlook 2007, but I don't know how to change this option on my phone when entering in a new contact. I always have to go in and find the contact > edit > change the "File As" portion.

Thanks in advance!

When adding a new contact, after you enter the name, alittle down the list after "job title" there is an option that says "file as" click on it then, choose first/last.

I think he is doing that already. I do not know of an option that makes it a default.

Re: "File As" software question

I guess what I'm asking is, is there a way that I can change that so it does it First/Last by default instead of it being Last/First?

The default is currently Last/First - I just don't know if there is a way to change the default.

Ah - you posted this as I was doing my reply. You're right. I am doing that - I just wanna change it so that I don't have to adjust it every time.

Thanks!

Re: "File As" software question

I hope I am wrong but I have been keeping an eye since the early days with the 6700 to no avail so I just came up with my own work around. Since I use hotmail and all my contacts are there, I made the mods there and sync it OTA.
