Internet Calling

Has anyone been able to get the WM6 built in Internet Calling running on TP from Telus? I have installed the drivers and VOIP cabs, activated the Internet calling today screen and shut off touch flow 3d, installed and configured SIP config and Soft restarted. There is no indication that the software is active after reboot and the Internet calling today option does not show (but remains selected in setup). My asterisk server does not show a login atempt.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I think CDMA can not handle the VOIP protocol.. It is a limit on the technology...

Can it be setup for use over wifi?

Your Telus Touch Pro is CDMA.. You could try setting it up with Wi-Fi.. It might work... I have not used any VOIP so I can't confirm nor deny this is possible :)

No suggestion on your specific issue, but I can say that Skype works fine as an alternative.

I am looking to log into an asterisk server at work. So Skype is not an option. Anyone else?

I've had good luck with the pocket pc version of SJPhone.

I'm using this version:

I have used sjphone - I don't like using the speaker phone for every call. AGE phone works better, but I have not found the perfect settings for good audio yet. The best solution is the built in VIOP that uses the same contact list and phone dialer and switches between CDMA on the road and VOIP at the office so I always use the phone the same way.
