I miss my "OK" and oterh bottons. Any tips?
Just got the TP. Had a Mogul. I find I miss the OK button and thumbwheel. I also find the center round button of little use. Am I missing something I will realize in 60 days and wish I had said something to replace these items? (sorry for the title typo. Can't edit it...)

The back button = OK/Close
the center button selects items. Its a little strange at first, but it gets pretty familiar relatively quickly. I felt the same way when I got my TouchPro |

AE Buttons Plus! Lets you remap your volume keys, center dpad button, etc... (back and home keys cannot be remapped with this program though). The keys you can remap, you can assign them with activating actions with one press, two press, three press, and long holds... so you get more out of each key. Hope this helps.
here you go for more info: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...=hardware+keys edit: i remapped the center button for a long hold to act as the ok/close button the back button does work to close things, but in certain programs like opera it doesn't work like that.... |

I kinda miss the ok button too. The other extra buttons I never cared for.

I don't know if it's program behavior of the 'back' button or that I'm hitting 'right' sometimes. Does anyone else have this problem?

I just started playing with mobileSRC Gscroll.
http://www.mobilesrc.com/GScroll.aspx It's a little finnicky, but it uses the touch sensitivity of the bottom button area to add controls and commands. I've mapped it to use my start menu, OK, button, calendar, and contacts like my old phone had. You can also use swipe gestures to navigate (it's more accurate moving through my contacts for example). It is a pay app, but it's only $5. |
