TP2 free from USCELLULAR!

US Cellular giving away TP2 free now after 70 dollar mail in rebate! Of course with a 2 year contract.

Now i am beginning to get curious..why is virtually every carrier one after another giving away TP2's? Wonder if they are just..crap OR is it part of a bigger marketing strategy to gain bigger market share? Considering you get 100 dollars back for trading in your older phone?

Also, I am curious as to why Sprint then is trying to sell their TP2 for $349 after 2 yr contract and not apart of the HTC rebate as well...

yeah, why is Sprint trying to rob people by selling the TP2 for $349.00? I called Sprint to ask and of course I did not get an answer and even after threatening to close my account I could not get a decent price on the TP2.

yeah, because threatening really gets you far. HAHAHAHA I could understand if it was a MASS of people. But come on. Do you really believe that a company with 60,000,000 customers cares if they miss 1 or 2?

so i went today to pick up TP2...guess what? SOLD OUT! EVERYWHERE! I must have called at least 15 different stores in chicagoland area..all sold out!

BTW..apparently this is a temporary promo with USCC...they are running this promo for 4 days only till the end of the month...every phone including every smart phone is available for free from USCC...and oh..no rainchecks from corporate store or franchise stores either..UGH! I will be calling customer service tomorrow and raise hell on this.

ok so if u call customer service they will hook u up with sales and you can still get your new device mailed out to you...but

apparently my contract is not for renewal till dec 2010 and i can get an upgrade latest is july 2010! UGH!!!

Yeah...the USCC free TP2 is kinda lame...My Girl works for them and she said they were out of stock on the TP2s TWO days before the promotion started. Get this, they will not raincheck the promotion for when the TP2s are back in stock....but they WILL thirty day price match for the people that bought them BEFORE the promotion....weak.
