Sick if hitting "UP" instead of "M"

OMFG WHAT KIND OF RETARD APPROVED THIS KEYBOARD DESIGN.

Ya for someone who looks at the keys it's fine but for someone who is familiar with key placement trying to type it's a royal pain in the ***. I keep thinking my cursor is bugged and then I remember there's an up arrow where the M is supposed to be

Seriously, does anyone know if there's a way to remap that particular key in windows?

that should've been one of the first apps some kind soul wrote for the poor gimp pro. i don't understand what genius, either at vz or htc thought this might be a good workaround.

Re: Sick if hitting "UP" instead of "M"

This was the original TP design from 6 months ago, some european tp's are like that too. Nobody really knows why VZ decided to stick with the older design.
Its not so bad in my opinion, you get used to it after typing a few txt-msgs. If you cant get used to it then something is wrong with your brain

This was posted by Skywing, he was able to remap a few keyboard buttons to allow underscore, ctrl, left soft-button, right soft-button, etc...

Seriously... It took about 5 minutes to get used to it, and this is after nearly a year of using my Sprint Mogul.

*Cue "gimp pro" joke*

Re: Sick if hitting "UP" instead of "M"

I've looked at a couple key re-mapping programs, but I haven't found one that will work with the TP yet.

The M key thing is driving me nuts. I thought I'd be able to get used to it, but it's slowing me down a lot. The keyboard is pretty close in feel to the 6700, which I've been using for about 3 years, so I keep forgetting that it's not the same layout.

One thing I like about the TP's keyboard: The "sticky" cap and function keys. Much easier to tap those once THEN press the letter key than having to hold them and press a key.

Yeah, you get used to it. If you do a lot of websurfing you will actually like it. Its more logical, in my opinion, to have the 'm' key there. Type out a couple www.something.com addresses and you will see exactly what I mean.

It was wierd at first but after a while I actually like it.
