Line Out Problem!

So, for some odd reason, my TP no longer can be used with the usb adapter for the 3.5mm line out jack. I connect the adapter, plug into an AUX system, and the music still plays through my TP's speakers! The "headphone" icon no longer appears when the adapter or the headphones/set is connected. All these irregularities occurred when I installed the battery meter and black EVDO icons. Any ideas? I'm using SPB Backup to restore to a previous state...wish me luck.

Ok, so I was forced to do a hard reset, and it still does not work....but ONLY when a charger is connected! If the adapter is NOT connected to the wall/car charger, the line out functionality is norm. Should I take it back to a store?

check the adapter that you plug into the phone. the 3rd or 4th pin from the left on the top is the pin that indicates to the phone that a headset is plugged in. if it is broken or missing, that is your problem. also any other broken pins will create this issue.

Ok, so there's no problem with any of the pins. I used a tiny light to look at all the pins, and they are all intact. Do I just bring it back to any Sprint store or should I get it exchanged over the phone?
