Stop Email alerts during certain times of the day

I'm wondering if there is a way to stop getting the "beep" notifications for emails for times when I am at work for example if I could turn it off m-f 8-5 because I am usually at work during that time and constantly have outlook open so I don't need my phone beeping every time there is an email. On the odd day that I am out of the office I don't mind having to enable it again but I'd like to have it automatically disabled during those hours.

let me know if you have any ideas.

Thanks

-Bob

Take a look at PhoneWeaver, I think it will do what you want:

spb phone suite also has profiles, rules, and separate settings for sms, mms, voicemail, and e-mail events.

are there any free programs that do this? I miss the profiles on my blackberry. I think a "smart phone" should already have a profiles program that works well.

If you're using exchange you can just change the schedule in Active Sync on your phone.

Re: Stop Email alerts during certain times of the day

Set it as an appointment on your calendar, then put the phone in automatic mode under sound (in TFlo). Then it mutes/vibes instead of making noise when you have an active event.

On my Touch Pro runs BB Connect.
Do you also know a way to manage the blackberry connection? e.g. shut down over night

Thumbs up Re: Stop Email alerts during certain times of the day

Hey there.... just a suggestion for your situation ( this is what I did to mine since I have the same little problem or situation).

Go to the settings tab.
Click all settings on the bottom left
Select the personal tab
Select the Sounds & Notifications
two choices
1st Choice
in the enable sounds for tab either unchecked the events box
2nd Choice
Select the Notifications tab
In the event part scroll down until you see messaging:new email message and uncheck the play sound box, or the vibrate, or the display message on screen.

By doing this every time you get an email you just will see the light flashing twice in the wheel button.

Sincerely
Shin_Akuma26

PS: Please press the Thank You button if I helped you some how
