unlock gps
 

Hi , is there a way to unlock the internal gps to allow it to work with software like garmin or tom tom without being charge for data?

Do you have Verizon? If so, a GPS unlock is on the way... If you have Sprint, you can use those above mentioned programs as is without a need to unlock.. You should also check out Google Maps.. It is totally free..

gonna need more info.. non verizon phones, tomtom7 works w/out data charges.. sprint nav, google maps, those use data.. if verizon, yeah... gonna have to wait to unlock it to use google maps or something.

Sprint and Telus are both unlocked. You can use what ever navigation software your heart desires.

Garmin works just like tom tom w/ the internal gps.

and I won't be charge for data all I need to do is buy the software that's awsome no monthly fee

yulp. no monthly fee. I have both garmin and tomtom :) I have garmin access my data (I have free unlimited data anyways) to get traffic. You can turn it off if you want. The GPS even works where you dont have service since all maps are loaded on your device (they take about a 1GB or little more)
