SIP KB stuck in number mode??

I don't know what I did, but my compact qwerty & phone keypad are both stuck in the number mode. No matter what I do, all they will type is numbers in the ABC mode.

Since I use the compact qwerty in T9 all the time in sms-chat, this is annoying the heck out of me!!

I did install PCM KB today, would that have changed something to cause this???

In the essentials sticky thread, read the threads related to "old school word correction" or search.

This problem occurs often and the answer is fairly easy to find.

I had the same issue after installing also 3er. party KB's and had to do a hard reset in order to make my compact KB to work again normally

Re: SIP KB stuck in number mode??

No reason to "hard reset" to fix most things on these phones. It's all files and registry. Nearly anything that can be "done" can be "undone".

I've had Win Mobile/PPC/WinCE devices for many years, and other than wiping it out to sell or doing system level upgrades, I don't hard reset.

It's a bit extreme solution. Every time your PC locks up or an app stops working, you don't run out and fdisk it and reinstall everything do ya? LOL

LOL, I agree. I wasn't planning to hard reset it unless all else fails........
